Wayne Dyer
Self-help Author
Wayne Dyer was born in Detroit Michigan on May 10, 1940. His family was abandoned by their alcoholic father, and because his mother wasn’t able to take care of her children, Dyer spent most of his early life in various foster homes and orphanages. When he turned eighteen he joined the Navy, where he served for four years. Afterwards he enrolled at Wayne State University, where he earned an Ed. D. in counseling in 1970. He first became known after the publishing of Your Erroneous Zones, and currently Mr. Dyer is one of the most popular and respected authors on the topic of self-help.
