Wang Yubin was born to a peasant family in Henan Province.  Little Yubin suffered from congenital heart disease but his family was unable to help him.  They are poor farmers and have all they can do to feed their children. There is no money for medical care. It seemed their son would get weaker and weaker until his heart finally gave out.

A group of workers in Chicago had a strong commitment to the orphans of China. They pooled their money and secured a matching funds grant from their employer. Together, they sponsored heart surgery for this little boy.  Wang Yubin can now help his family with the crops.  Thanks to his sponsors, he looks forward to a normal life.
