Liu Jinxin was born to a peasant family in Henan province of China.  His family already carried the burden of heavy debt due to illness of older relatives.  The parents would willingly sacrifice what little they had to save their son, but it was to no avail.  They could never raise the money to pay for the surgery that Liu Jinxin required.

Employees of a bank in Chicago had a great heart for orphans in China.  They worked to raise money for Liu Jinxin and their employer matched their funds.  As a result, Jinxin received the operation he needed so badly. He is now filled with hope and his family is overjoyed.  They know they can never repay all those who gave to save their son, so they have determined to help others in their community in whatever ways possible.
