These projects focus primarily on those who are orphaned or otherwise
left homeless for any reason. As of 2007, your gifts have helped children in China, Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala,
India, Kazakhstan, Russia and Vietnam. We are committed to
helping you help children throughout our world.
Hope Centers for Earthquake Victims
The 2008 Earthquake in China devastated many towns in Sichuan Province. The death toll is at nearly 70,000 with hundreds of thousands injured.
Children's Hope staff is still assisting victims and orphans created by the earthquake. A staff of seven in Sichuan is delivering donated items to remote locations and counseling individuals who are still struggling emotionally and physically.
The greatest need of our staff in the earthquake zone is transportation. A van and a small car are needed to more efficiently deliver supplies and Hope to remote locations. Also, poor environmental conditions in the earthquake affected area is creating an increased number of infectious diseases. Medical clinics need additional medications.
