Thank you for visiting Children's Hope International's Humanitarian Aid Web Site.  Your privacy is very important to us.  We collect no personal information when you visit our Web site unless you choose to make such information available to us.

This Privacy Policy will answer your questions about the kind of information we collect and how we use it. We have also included information on how to prevent your personal information from being collected or shared when you visit our Web site or send us e-mail. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. If we change or update our Privacy Policy, we will post the revised policy here.  Any changes will apply to all information collected by CHI, including previously collected information.

If you have any further questions or comments, you may reach CHI using the information on the Contact Info page or by email at webassist@childrenshope.net.

What information do you gather and how do you use it?

When you visit our Web site, our server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed our site.  The server does not recognize or collect your personal email address or any other personal information.

In addition, we monitor the volume and timing of access to our site by collecting information on the date, time and pages accessed by our visitors.  We do this so that we can improve the content of our Web site and enhance your experience with us.  This information is not shared with other organizations.  Only anonymous, aggregate information is collected: an individual visitor's personal information is not identified.

When you send us an e-mail using the Contact Info page, we may retain the content of the e-mail, your e-mail address, and our response in order to handle any follow-up questions you may have. We also use this information to measure how effectively we address your concerns.

If you choose to share personal information with CHI by sending us a message, completing an electronic form, or opening a personal humanitarian aid account, we will retain personal information including your name, mailing address, e-mail address, or credit card number when appropriate. We will use this information only for the intent that you have authorized. We may ask you to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your interests, demographics, experience with our organization, and contact preferences. We use this information to provide you with the most accurate information related to your humanitarian aid interests.  Personal accounts are secure and password protected. Your personal information will not be shared with third parties.

Some information may be saved for a designated period to comply with federal or state archiving policies.  However, we will not disclose the information to third parties or government agencies unless required to do so by law.

Who do you share my personal information with?

We do not sell your name or other private profile information to third parties, and do not intend to do so in the future.

We may share anonymous, aggregated information about all our users with third parties.

How does childrenshope.net use cookies and similar technologies?

CHI uses cookie only to store temporary information and does not use cookie to collect any personal information.

How does childrenshope.net support the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule?

If a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian may contact CHI, and we will remove the information and unsubscribe the child from any promotional contact opportunities.

How do I tell CHI that I don't want to be contacted for promotional purposes?

We only send promotional e-mail messages to you if you have voluntarily provided us with your e-mail address. You may request to be removed from CHI's e-mail list at any time through your personal account or by contacting CHI through the Contact Info page.  You may also designate e-mail preferences by logging in and visiting your personal account.
