Hodge is a thirteen year old orphan living in Castle Marlby during medieval times, performing household chores and sharing the castle with his brother, Fleet.  Hodge’s only wish is to be a servant to a prince, and that wish comes true when Prince Leo arrives.  Adventure soon occurs, as Leo, actually a prisoner, escapes the castle and then Fleet disappears.  Loyal Hodge seeks out to find his brother and defend the prince, and in the process becomes a dignified, honest hero.
