Faith Daniels
Anchorwoman

Faith Daniels was born on March 9, 1957 in Wheeling, West Virginia.  Having been conceived when her mother was raped, she was put up for adoption at birth.  She began her broadcasting career in the early 1980’s by working for ABC and CBS local affiliates in Peoria, Illinois.  In 1985, she became the anchor of the “CBS Morning News,” thus beginning her national news career.  She was just 27 at the time, making her one of the youngest ever national news anchors.  She made the switch to NBC in 1990 to become the news anchor for the “Today Show, and later anchor of the “News at Sunrise,” which is now off the air.

Having retired from her broadcasting career, Daniels currently travels as a public speaker.  She is the President of the Board of Trustees for the Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association, as well as being an active supporter of the National Counsel for Adoption.  She also made an appearance in the 2006 Robin Williams movie, Man of the Year, as the candidates’ debate moderator.
